It's Been a Few Days!

Hey! So sorry I haven't posted! I've been a little busy with work and whatnot. However, I have been doing some crafting. :) I made a really cute tag book that I saw on dawn5377's youtube page. It was something that I had never seen or made before so I knew I had to give it a try. It was SO simple to do, and I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I'm also working on putting together some chipboard albums for a scrapbooking crop. I really enjoyed putting the scallop album together and I think the ribbon gives it a nice little touch. I also did two pre-made layouts. I kept them one page & simple. It is so beautiful out today. I'm SO happy it's finally Spring!! :) I was getting really tired of the cold & snow! lol.

Sympathy Card

Two co-workers, and good friends of mine, lost loved ones within two days of each other. I made them cards for everyone at work to sign. Both of the cards are the same, but have different colored ribbons. I used the 'Thoughts & Prayers' stamp set on Whisper White cardstock. The paper is from a pack that I found on clearance at Target, and the ribbon is from Micheals.

Tonight I will be going to one of the wakes for my co-workers grandfather, and tomorrow is for my other co-workers brother. I feel terrible for both of them, but I'm hoping they both find comfort in knowing their loved ones are no longer suffering.

Thanks for stopping by.

Swap

I'm participating in my first swap ever over at Splitcoaststampers! :) It's for Stampin' Up! demonstrators & the topic is birthday cards. I used my 'A Little Birdie Told Me' stamp set and made 6 of the same cards to send out. In return, I'll get 6 different cards back from other Stampin' Up! demos who have participated. I'm so excited to see what everyone comes up with. Everyone does such beautiful work over at Splitcoaststampers, and I have been inspired so much by all of the wonderful crafters that post their work on the site.

I also placed a Stampin' Up! order yesterday, and because I spent over $50 I earned a free stamp set from the Sale a Bration catalog. So excited! I also order the 'Just B' stamp set that I have been eyeing for a while and can't wait to play with it when it comes in the mail.

Tonight, I'm going out to dinner with my boyfriend & his family for his grandpas birthday. Sooo... I'm not sure if I will be able to get any stamping/crafting in tonight. :( That's alright though, I'm looking forward to good food and good company!

Thanks for stopping by!

Keeping it Simple

I did several VERY simple cards, but I truly love the way they came out. I used Stampin Up!'s 'Warm Words' stamp set, and some ribbon I purchased from Michaels in the $1 spot!

I was thinking that these cards would be great to do at a workshop for those who are 'beginner stampers.' Simple & pretty! :)

I also made a progressive scrapbook layout using the Stampin Up!'s 'Flight of the Butterfly' stamp set. I was completley inspired by a layout I found on Splitcoaststampers. (The layout can be found here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1012573?si=12x12%20flight%20of%20the%20butterfly) I didn't completley mimmick her layout, but they are very similar to one another. This is my first attempt at making a progressive scrapbook layout & I can't believe how simple it really is! This is great for scrapbooking beginners or veterans alike! It truly takes out the guess work of having to come up with a background or layout on your own. I definetley want to do one of these at a workshop!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! :)

Cards, Cards, and More Cards

I went over to my Upline Tracy's house yesterday. Together we came up with the cards I would be demonstrating at my first workshop, which happens to be for my mom! (lol) I'm very excited for my first workshop, and not as nervous because the people she has invitied are either family members or family friends. The other night my mom asked if I could help her make a card for a friend of hers who broke her foot and has been feeling down in the dumps about not being able to drive, get around well, etc. We used the 'A Little Birdie Told Me' stamp set, and I also showed my mom how to color with the pastels. She was so proud of herself & couldn't believe how easy it was to make a beautiful card in only a few short, easy steps. I was so happy that she enjoyed it, especially when she said she was even more excited about her upcoming Stampin Up! party. :)

Yesterday, Tracy was also kind enough to let me borrow her 'Flight of the Butterfly' stamp set, and I made several cards with this set last night.

I'm quite pleased with the way they turned out! I LOVE butterflies so this stamp set was right up my alley. I think that I may work on a chipboard album tonight, or more cards. I also am going to be placing another order with Stampin Up! for some cardstock & stamp sets.
That's it for now, thanks for stopping by! :)

:)

This pretty girl was outside my living room window a few minutes ago...

And now I am off to craft. *Finally*

Busy, Busy

Between school work, and two birthday dinners (Sat. & Sun. night) I wasn't able to get the crafting time in that I thought I was going to be able to/wanted to this weekend. :( However, I'm hoping tonight that will be a different story! I have a Civil War paper to do, and then I'm free for the rest of the night! :)

I am scheduled to be a vendor at a scrapbooking crop on the 27th & 28th. I am very, very excited. I'm still trying to figure out *exactly* what I'm going to be demonstrating, being that it is going to be my first make-n-take. I have a half hour to work with the women who choose to sign up to work with me.

Sooo that's about it! I will be posting soon! :)

Loads of Love

I played around with Stampin Up' 'Loads of Love' set earlier today.  I colored in the truck with Stampin' Up Pastels, and used Stampin' Up ink.  I really like the way these turned out.  I still have to play around with my 'Define Your Life', 'A Little Birdie Told Me', and 'Big Bold Birthday' stamp sets.  I think this weekend I will have a chance to do that.

Two Layouts

My Stampin Up! starter kit came yesterday!! I was SO happy when I went through the box and looked at all of my stamp sets. I can't wait to start playing with them.

These are two pre-made layouts I created last night, and I'm really happy with the way they turned out. I will post some of my Stampin' Up! cards later on today or tomorrow.

First Post!

This is my first post in the blogging world! I will be posting pictures of crafts I have made, upcoming workshops, etc.

Mom and my boyfriend Dan bought me my Cricut Expression Machine for my birthday. Let me just say.. I am SO thrilled with the Cricut Expression! My first projects were these cute little baby cards. I followed the instructions from the Doodlecharms booklet and added my own little spin on it. I am really happy with the way they turned out!

My Stampin Up! starter kit is scheduled to arrive today! I am very excited, and will post as soon as I get it.
